Cayman’s Testosterone ELISA Kit is a competitive assay that can be used for quantification of testosterone in plasma, serum, saliva, tissue culture supernatants, animal feces, and other sample matrices. The assay does not recognize testosterone-17-glucuronide, the metabolite most prevalent in urine, and therefore is not recommended for use with urine samples. The assay has a range from 3.9-500 pg/ml, a sensitivity (80% B/B₀) of approximately 6 pg/ml, and a lower limit of detection (LLOD) of 3 pg/ml.
